I don’t know about your home, but at Casa de McKnight, the most important part of Christmas morning is opening the stockings. They may not be little anymore, but that doesn’t mean they don’t get excited. The fact that they still believe in the spirit of Christmas makes my mama heart happy! Agreed, they’ve already outgrown most toys and games but there’s something about the anticipation of what’s inside that makes it so much fun. We can all agree that underwear, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are necessary but who wants to get that in a Christmas Stocking? So, if you’re looking for stocking stuffer ideas, check out my list of favorite items I’ve used.
Experiences
this tops the list of stocking stuffers for us. There are only so many electronics and gadgets you can buy, and they end up broken just a short time later. Eric and I started giving experiences and the girls look forward to them. Here’s one of our favorites. A 10-day tour of California. We had a blast. The tour included Yosemite and wine country. https://www.caravan.com/tour/usa-california-coast
Ugg Slippers
These are the most comfortable slippers, and the girls absolutely love them.
Old Navy Cozy Socks and Text Friendly Gloves
I think there’s a monster in our dryer that eats our socks! There’s always a loner floating around. I also love to gift them text friendly gloves, so they don’t have to take their gloves off to use their phones.
Mini Altoids
I love this pack of 9 Altoids from Amazon. It lasts awhile and they can share with friends.
Mad Libs –
I don’t care how old the girls get they still love to do Mad Libs.
Travel sized hand lotions, soaps, and hand sanitizers
I stock up on these. They’re the perfect size for traveling and you get to try a variety of scents.
Jewelry
I love jewelry and I love Kendra Scott so, it’s no surprise they’d get some Kendra Scott jewelry in their stockings.
Drinkware
If your kids are like mine, they lose water bottles like they lose socks. I don’t understand it. Simply Southern has a great collection of drinkware and it doesn’t break the bank.
Electric Toothbrushes
I know I said earlier that no one wants to receive toothpaste and toothbrushes for Christmas, but these are cool, and they were a huge hit with the girls.
Below are more of my favorite things to put in Christmas Stockings
- Soft Peppermints, the girls and the horse can’t get enough
- Target Dollar Bin Items
- Eye Masks
- Chapsticks
- Makeup Brushes
- Make Up – I save my points at Sephora, get free gifts throughout the year, and gift them to the girls
- Gift Cards to their favorite stores
- Blue Light Glasses
- Jade Roller with various skin care products
- Lightening Cords for phones – I swear they eat them!
